Helping Others Become More: Our 2026 Leaders Retreat in Tagaytay
Earlier this year, our community came together around Becoming More, Together—the belief that when we surround ourselves with the right people, encourage one another, and share what we know, we can become more than we thought possible.
On August 4–5, we brought our Team Leaders, Junior Team Leaders, and several aspiring leaders together in Tagaytay for the next chapter of that journey.
This time, our theme was:
Helping Others Become More
As our Thermomix community grows, leadership becomes more important.
A leader can only personally do so much. There will always be another demo to conduct, another Advisor asking for help, another event to attend, another message to answer.
So we began our retreat with a simple realization:
Every YES is a NO to something else.
If our time is limited, where should we invest it?
From doing more to developing more
Throughout the afternoon, our leaders mapped out the many things they do every week across four important areas: Recruitment, Onboarding, Activation and Retention — ROAR.
There was no presentation telling everyone the "correct" answer.
Instead, we filled the walls with Post-its, shared experiences, challenged one another's thinking, moved activities around and debated which actions create the greatest long-term impact.
The conversations led us back to one important principle:
Help → Build Confidence → Step Back → Multiply
Helping an Advisor does not mean doing everything for her.
There will be many important "firsts" in an Advisor's journey—the first invitation, first booking, first demo, first closing and first unboxing. A good leader knows when to stand beside someone, when to coach, and eventually, when to step back.
Because the goal isn't to create Advisors who always need their Team Leader.
The goal is to develop Advisors who become confident enough to eventually help someone else.
That is duplication.
Leadership can also feel heavy
Between all the discussions about priorities and responsibilities, we also made time simply to enjoy being together.
We shared meals, laughed, sang, relaxed and enjoyed Tagaytay.
After dinner, we did something very simple.
Each leader wrote appreciation notes to other leaders in the group. They shared specific things they had seen and appreciated in one another—the effort, encouragement, persistence and leadership that sometimes goes unnoticed.
It became one of the most meaningful moments of the retreat.
Leadership often means giving to others. That evening reminded us that leaders also need encouragement.
One year from now
On our second morning, we returned to a question we had asked when the retreat began:
Where do I want myself and my team to be one year from now?
But instead of creating another long list of things to accomplish, every leader made just two commitments:
Spend less time doing…
and
Spend more time doing…
Sometimes becoming a better leader isn't about adding more to an already full schedule.
Sometimes it means having the courage to stop doing something so there is room for something more important.
And we didn't want those commitments to remain on a card.
Everyone stood in a circle and was assigned another leader as an accountability buddy. Each Monday, a simple double tap will serve as a reminder:
Have you started doing what you said you would do?
Not to police one another.
To support one another.
The retreat may be over. The work isn't.
We left Tagaytay with plenty of photos and wonderful memories, but those aren't how we will measure whether the retreat was successful.
We'll know it worked when we see more new Advisors being properly onboarded.
When more Advisors successfully complete their EARN journey.
When someone conducts her first demo without needing her Team Leader beside her.
When an Advisor who once needed help becomes capable of helping someone else.
And eventually, when today's Advisors become tomorrow's leaders.
That is how a community grows.
Not because a few people keep doing more.
But because more people learn to do more for themselves—and then help someone else do the same.
That is what Helping Others Become More means to us.
And we're only getting started
